US: Nonfarm payrolls up 142K in August

FXStreet (Łódź) - US NFP disappointed in August , growing only by 142K, following the July increase revised up to 212K, according to data released today by the US Department of Labor. This result is below market consensus of 225K.

The Unemployment Rate slid to 6.1% from 6.2%, as expected.
